Simulation tasks/goals for Exclusive Reactions

  • DVCS reconstruction resolution:
    • 1. Delta^2 = (k-k’-q’)^2: “Electron Method”:
      • a. Independent of ion beam 3-momentum spread
      • b. Independent of far-forward acceptance
      • c. Delta^2 or Delta_perp^2 ?
    • 2. Proton (MILOU or TOPEG)
      • a. 10 x 275
      • b. 5 x 100
      • c. 5 x 275
    • 3. 4He (TOPEG)
      • a. 5 x 100 GeV/u

TOPEG Configuration & Outputs

All topeg output files can be found at /work/eic/users/psimmerl/

Current outputs:

  • Electron Beam Helicities: -1, +1
  • t range: (0.001, 1.2)
  • y range: (0.05, 0.90)
  • Q2 range: (4, 100)
  • W2 min: 16
  • theta max electron (radians): 1.5708
  • Nb of TFoam cells: 10000
  • Nb of samples per cell: 200
  • Electron beam energies: 5, 10
  • Proton beam energy: 41, 100, 275
  • He4 beam energy: 81, 400, 550
    • Using "Model 3 - Coherent He-4 DVCS theoretical model but neglecting the real part of H"

All 250,000 events (except proton 10x275 which is still running as of 10/19/21 4pm EDT, will finish by 10/23/21(?))

  • Grids can be accessed at /work/eic/users/psimmerl/topeg_grids/
  • Output events can be accessed at /work/eic/users/psimmerl/topeg_output/
    • Format CORE_{electron beam energy}x{ion beam energy}-M{3 if He4, 4 if proton}-{N if negative electron helicity, P if positive}.root
      • ex. CORE_5x41-M4-Nh.root

Increasing Nb of samples per cell

Configuration : /work/eic/users/psimmerl/topeg_moresamples_configs/

  • Nb of samples per cell: 10000
  • Rest are same as above

Jobs are running as of 10/19/21 4pm EDT

  • Currently generating grid should finish by 10/22/21(?)
  • Hope to have 1,000,000 events/config by 10/27/21(?)
