Particle ID.

  • Barrel Region (-1.70<η<1.70)
    • DIRC: e/π/K/p
      • π/K ≥ 3σ up to 6 GeV, ≥ 4σ up to 8 GeV
      • K/p ≥ 3σ up to 12 GeV
      • e/π 10:1 for 0.7 < p < 1.2 GeV/c
    • EMCal
      • γ/&pi^0; discrimination up to 14 GeV (can be improved with preshower layer)
    • Instrumented Flux Return
      • Muon vs neutral hadron discrimination
      • Neutral hadron (n,K_S) angular resolution ~20 mrad
